Joanna Chia-yu Lin’s artistic interests focus on recollecting traces of subtle changes and conflicts within everyday moments and memories. Through her work, she explores how the passing of time can be abstract, stretchy and fluid. Lin works with various mediums, including photography, painting, textiles and installations, to consider labour and time. Lin has a MA in Medium and Materials-Based Art from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and a BA in Fine Arts from the National Taiwan Normal University. She has exhibited in several venues, including Kunstplass (Solo, Oslo, 2020), Oslo Negativ (Solo, Oslo, 2021), Gilhus Gård (Group, Lier, 2022), and Northing Space (Group, Bergen, 2021). She has been a member of Tenthaus art collective since 2022 and has been part of the artist associations LNM (Landsforeningen Norske Malere) and NBK (Norske Billedkunstnere) since 2021.
