Ann-Cathrin Hertling explores the potential of the liminal, in between art and everyday life. She is the founder and artistic director within the company Wild at Art, where she co-creates with the musician Siri Gjære, and also within the artist duo Hertling & Andreassen. Both projects are pioneers of long-durational art in Norway. She creates not as a spectacle or a show but as a state of mind which is process-based, site-specific and immersive zones of temporary communities. Challenging institutional conventions and norms by exploring the possibility of transcending linear time so new realities can unfold, experiencing new ways of being together.

Marte Huke is a poet and author. She has published six collections of poetry and one novel since 2002. Her poetry looks at the relationship between humans and landscapes and explores the sound and rhythm of words. She founded Æ Å Trondheim Literature Festival with other poets in Trondheim. She works cross-disciplinary, writes dramatic literature and has collaborated with musicians, dancers and artists for over two decades. She has participated in several international poetry festivals. Her poems and her novels have been translated into several languages.

Hertling and Huke have collaborated in long durational art projects within the art collective Wild at Art and Hertling & Andreassen in the last ten years. For MOMENTUM 12, they will for the first time, work together as a duo. They present Can I Breathe in It?, which gathers materials and tools for co-created situations, inviting visitors to enter the in-between landscape, venture out of linear time and immerse themselves in the vivid space of cyclical time. In this portal of time warping, can we, in the here and now, find a home together that is not occupied? In a world where “faster faster” is the currency, where all the domains are occupied; can slowing down, emptying out, and creating an empty space be the paradox where we can find a space without agenda or message? And start breathing again?
