The visual identity of Momentum 12 is created collaboratively by Gudskul (Jakarta), Post.Design (Berlin/Brussels) and Studio150 (Bangkok). Brought together by Tenthaus for the biennial, the eight members of the design bubble have been working together as a pop-up design studio spanning seven time zones. Together they are responsible for all of the visual identity of Momentum 12 – from the website to folding chairs to the text you are reading right now. All three design collectives have brought their own working structures, design tradition and sensibilities to the project, occasioning synergies and exchange. The global, cross-cultural collaboration has been a hugely positive learning experience for the three groups of the bubble that had not worked together beforehand. The collaboration has mostly taken place online, but keeping in mind the headline “Together as To Gather”, the team has also met and worked together during the process: In November ‘22 in Moss, in March 2023 in Jakarta and finally around the opening in June in Moss again.
